The Western Lowland Gorilla may have to change its looks in the future in order to change and be able to adapt to the new environment. The future of Congo Basin rainforest is expected to change many different ways including hitting a tipping point of 25% of deforestation which could lead to potentially triggering the Gorillas ecosystem. The climate in Congo Basin is expected to change by rising temperatures and drought which will lead to the Gorillas suffering for food and water. The Congo Basin rainforest is expected to end up very dry and empty with very little land livable for the Western Lowland Gorilla. The main parts of the Gorillas' everyday life such as sleeping, eating, hunting and foraging will be hard in the future if the prediction goes as planned. The Congo Basin is expected to be very different from any other rainforests in the future.
