The toucan thrives in a tropical region in South America called the Amazon Rainforest. Brightening the forest with its infamous long and colorful beak, used to reach fruits high up in the trees and blend in with the fruits; lushes black feathers used to blend in with shadowy areas of the rainforest; using flight to get around short distances; regulating body temperature to avoid overheating. Enjoying their life but reality is, the Amazon rainforest is slowly disappearing due to deforestation and using the land for agriculture. As the fruit disappears, the beak is no longer needed, causing a shorter and sharper beak to hunt smaller animals. Less trees, larger wingspan is needed to fly across miles of desert land. Hotter temperature, smaller body to regulate body heat faster throughout the body. Less hiding spots, their skin color would need to change to be able to blend in with the environment.
