Poison Dart Frog

The poison dart frog is an amphibian located in rainforests across South America. They have sticky toe pads and very good vision. They are facing the problems of climate change,deforestation,and illegal activities that are causing their habitat to change rapidly. The frogs use different calls for self defense and mating, another thing they use for self defense is their toxins/poison that act as neurotoxins locking open voltage-gated sodium channels in nerves. I am predicting that in the future the poison dart frogs habitat will become a savanna or desert. Because of this the frog will no longer have sticky toe pads and will change to a sandy color for camouflage. The frog will also grow longer legs, making escape from predators and catching food easier. I am going to rename the frog to “dashing land frog” because of its newly adapted dash-like abilities in deserts.
