The Amazonian Jaguar’s future habitat may consist of dry land due to deforestation and climate change. Temperatures and sea levels will most likely rise. Pollution will change from short-term to long-term. There will be less animals which means the Jaguars will have to adapt to less food and less meat. Since the area will be dry the land will have less vegetation and more shrubs. There will most likely be frequent droughts and wildfires which will alter the structure of the forest. The jaguars will have to adapt to these changes by having bigger ears to help them survive by functioning as a crucial adaptation for thermoregulation and they will have less fur because of hot weather. Also as the temperatures rise the larger, thinner, ears will prevent overheating. Jaguars will change to camouflage better. Their bodies will become smaller and less stocky due to food shortages.
