The Hawksbill Sea turtle is an aquatic reptile inhabiting the shores and coasts of rainforests. They eat jellyfish, small fish, and sea sponges. Every 2-3 years, they nest in the same place they were born. To get there, they have to migrate 20, 1,500 miles! Some threats that they are currently facing include: habitat loss, pollution, and other man-made issues. In the future their environment will change by: rising sea levels erasing beaches, high acidity killing coral reefs, and hotter temperatures killing off other species. In the future, the Hawksbill sea turtle will evolve into the Gardenback sea turtle. This turtle will find new ways of nesting and migrate less, due to the loss of beaches. The way their fins are built will change from big flippers to webbed claws. They will now be able to change the pigment in their skin to blend in.
