The jaguar is a top predator in the Amazon rainforest. They have good eyesight for hunting and can move quietly through the forest.
Thousands of years later, global warming may become worse. Temperatures could rise, ice may melt, and sea levels could increase. Air pollution may also become worse because of human activities. These changes could make environments much hotter, forcing jaguars to move to higher ground. Over time, they may change to adapt.
Jaguars might develop stronger lungs to adapt to ecosystem changes. They may also have less fur, become smaller, or develop other traits that help them survive.
