After a thousand years, due to climate change, jaguars could have lost their tail, created a sandy coat, grown wider legs, which would make them rely more on their ears. Nowadays jaguars live in rainforests, meaning their bodies are designed to climb trees for hunting and survival. In 1,000 years rainforests could easily turn into deserts, which would completely change jaguars' builds to help them survive in such a new ecosystem. Their bodies that were created for climbing trees would change, the tail they use for balance would disappear, their skinny legs would widen and maybe later disappear. Their eyes would become worse in this new environment meaning their ears would be more important. The coat they used to blend in would change because their surroundings colors have changed too. All these changes are effects of climate change, and could easily happen in a thousand years.
