The present day jaguar's spotted fur provides camouflage, helping it blend into trees and tall grass while stalking prey. Jaguars have strong legs, large paws, and sharp claws that help them run quickly, climb trees, and capture animals. Their powerful jaws and sharp teeth allow them to bite through tough skin and shells. Jaguars often hunt at night, using strong hearing and good night vision to find prey in the dark. These adaptations help the jaguar survive in its rainforest environment. The future jaguar in my drawing shows several new adaptations that help it survive environmental changes. Heat-reflecting spots and thermal fur help keep its body cool in hotter climates. Camouflage armor plating protects it from predators and danger. Extra climbing claws allow it to move easily through trees and rough areas. Gills for swimming help it travel through water, while enhanced hearing and night vision help it find prey.
