The jaguar(Panthera onca) adapted to environmental changes caused by climate change in it's rainforest habitat. As temperatures increased and parts of the rainforest became drier and more open, the Jaguar developed lighter, thinner fur that helps it stay cool and blend into dry glass and woodland. It's ears became larger, which helps release body heat and prevents overheating in the hotter climate. The jaguar also evolved longer legs and a leaner body, allowing it to travel greater distances to find food and water as resources became more spread out. In addition, it adapted it's behavior by hunting more at night to avoiddaytime heat. Its diet became more varied, allowing it to survive even when its usual prey became scarce. These adaptations helped the Jaguar survive and continue living in a changing environmental.
