Present:
The Three-Toed Sloth is an animal that lives in Central and South America. They’re slow and lose less energy, which is helpful for them since they only eat leaves and they mainly stay in trees. They are excellent at disguising themselves in order to fool their predators.
Future:
The Three-Toed Sloth is an animal that lives in Central and South America. The future sloth is smaller than normal, it's faster, and its diet expanded to more types of greens other than leaves. The sloth having a smaller body and an expanded diet helps it need less food and energy, which is important if food becomes scarce because of droughts and global warming. They’ll also have stronger and faster legs since there may be fewer trees closer together due to deforestation and the sloth would need the speed to travel faster on the ground to not get eaten by predators.
