The Future of the Sloth

Our animals are in a lot of danger in the future because of us, and the main cause of that is climate change. Climate change has been affecting our earth in ways. But an animal that will suffer a lot from climate change in the future is the sloth. The sloth is thriving with trees and leaves now! But over time the greenhouse gases that we put into the atmosphere will affect everything, especially sloths. Sloths will lose trees due to extreme temperatures that will make the trees die from heat stress and water shortage. So these sloths will be climbing on the ground because there won’t be many trees left. This is dangerous for them because there are predators like jaguars, pumas, and eagles and everyone knows sloths are slow. Since sloths won't be living in trees anymore, they may stay in bushes to keep safe from predators there.
