Jaguar live in a dense forest at the top of the food chain. They are a carnivorous species, but in the future jaguars will be omnivores. Climate change and global warming turns a tropical rainforest into a desert. In the desert, there are less food options. Jaguars have to eat anything they can find. Jaguars will have big ears to dissipate heat in their body. Their larger surface area will help release body heat so they can survive. Their thick fur will provide insulation against the hot temperatures. To dig tunnels underground, the jaguar will have long, heavy claws and a small body. Hunting at night the jaguars black eyes see better. It is possible for jaguars to still be around in a 1000 years. If people get better at using less fossil fuels or find an alternative energy source, this evolution will be possible in that time period.
