Present/Future: Spider Monkey

The creature I chose was the spider monkey. Right now Spider Monkeys have long limbs that they use for transporting through trees. They usually come in shades of beige. They use their tail like an extra limb. They are dealing with many problems coming in the future like deforestation, and climate change. So the adaptations I gave my spider monkey were smaller bodies, gray fur for camouflage, growing claws for ground foraging, adapting to a terrestrial, muscular lifestyle, and well as lighter, heat-reflective coats. I chose the fur since they won't be living in trees anymore. They are going to need camouflage to make hunting easier and hiding from preys. The heat reflectng coats will also help since trees are not protecting them from the sun. The claws will make it easier for them to hunt for food.
