The Puma in the current day lives in the rainforest being able to hunt for itself and get the prey it needs to eat. It is also able to get the water it needs and to be able to live comfortably.
Climate change will affect the Puma’s habitat by droughts reducing the amount of prey they have to eat, wildfires, conflict with humans (water sources of pumas being gone during droughts so they have to go to where humans live to find water). The shelter it will seek is going to human territories after droughts and wildfires. They adapt by changing their prey, changing their hunting strategies, and increasing their range due to habitat loss. Pumas need to adjust to new environments, conserve their energy, be social with other pumas when needed, be tolerant with humans, be able to change their diet if needed, etc.
