The blue and gold macaw is a very well known type of species in Brazil, South America, Central and Mexico. Macaws live in pairs, family groups, or flocks of 10 to 30, which helps give them protection from predators like large snakes and birds of prey. They usually wake up before dawn, preening their feathers and calling to one another, perhaps communicating where they are and what they plan to do next. Then, as a group they fly up out of the trees to journey to the day’s feeding grounds, often quite a long distance. In 1000 years, the blue and gold macaw will transform their colors to be a rare red, green, and blue bird. Then in another 1000 years, they will turn into a legendary lavender bird in the amazon forest. They will change colors because the weather will be humid or below freezing. They are amazing creatures.
