Over thousands of years, climate change and rising temperatures will transform the jaguar and its current rainforest into a seasonal wetland and dry savanna. In its present habitat, the Jaguar is an apex predator built for climbing and short bursts of speed. It's golden fur and brown rosettes provide essential camouflage in the patchy light of the sun reaching through the thick forest canopy. The future Jaguar has adapted to a more open, aquatic, and aerial landscape. It is taller and leaner with longer legs for running across the grasslands. For survival in seasonal wetlands, it has evolved webbed feet and a finned tail for superior swimming and aerodynamics. It adapts wings that help it easily migrate. Its fur has reduced due to global warming and has turned amber. Finally, a neck frill and small ears help it manage heat and scare predators, ensuring that it thrives in its new ecosystem.
