The Jaguar

The jaguar now inhabits the rainforest. The jaguar's spotted yellow fur makes it difficult for other animals to see, helping it blend in with the shadows. It uses its powerful jaws and claws to capture fish, birds, monkeys, and other mammals.The jaguar can climb trees and swim well, which helps it navigate the rainforest and find food.Climate change may cause the rainforest to become warmer and less forested in the future. To stay cool, the jaguar may grow thinner and lighter fur. In order to travel farther in pursuit of food, the jaguar may grow longer legs and a slimmer body. In order to stay cool, the jaguar may also grow bigger ears. To help it hunt and defend itself, the jaguar may also grow sharper claws. Additionally, the jaguar's spots may alter to help it hide in the grass instead of the shadows of the rainforest.
