The animal I am writing about is the Anteaters. Anteaters are animals that eat ants, termites, and other small insects. They have long snouts and extremely long, sticky tongues. Their thick, coarse fur protects them from bites, and their strong claws help them break open ant hills and termite mounds. Anteaters have long, bushy tails and their strong legs allow them to move slowly. Their eyesight is not very strong. As climate change anteaters may need to adapt to survive. Their tongues could become even longer and more flexible to reach insects in deeper nests. Their claws might grow stronger to dig into harder soil or termite mounds. Their fur could become lighter or thinner to stay cool in hotter weather. These physical changes help them survive.
