Orangutans have short legs, long arms, and curved toes. These help with climbing trees. Orangutans have bright orange hairy bodies. The orange color assists with blending in and the hairy coats help keep them dry from rain. In the wild orangutans are facing habitat loss due to deforestation. I predict there will be no trees in about 100 years. Orangutans rely on trees to survive. Longer legs and flat feet would help them walk more easily. A larger check pouch and large teeth would help with their new carnivore diet. Longer hair would also help them by keeping them dry since there are no trees. The future is unknown for the orangutan but, there are many ways they can adapt for the better. Like Charles Darwin said " It's not the strongest of species that survives, nor the most intelligent. It is the one that is most adaptable to change."
