The scarlet macaw lives in the rainforest. They eat fruits, seeds, and plants. They live high up in trees and are known for the striking colors, like red, yellow and blue. It has long tail feathers to balance while flying. Its long beak allows it to crack shell nuts open and eat fruits. The adapted version of the scarlet macaw is called the clawed macaualih. It lives in a swamp area and lives on the ground. It developed a new digestive system because it can no longer eat fruits and seeds. Because of the newly adapted system, it can eat both meat and plants. It also developed claws on their wings in order to catch fish from the water. It has big eyes to see far and look under water. It can both swim and fly but can only fly for short periods. It changed its feathers to blend in.
