The Toco toucans habitat is a rainforest. Their habitat consistently gets rainfall and is inhabited by millions of species of plants and animals. In the toucan's future habitat the rainforest temperature would increase. Rain will rarely come so the soil will harden. The habitat would change because of climate change. This would cause droughts, decreasing wildlife populations. Their dry environment would make the habitat vulnerable to fires. Over time the habitat would become a desert. The adaptations I predict will happen to the loco toucan are that they will become nocturnal because of the extreme heat during the day. Their wings will shorten because they are not as used as before, since they can no longer live or rest on trees. Furthermore, their beak will shorten and curve, ideal for hunting in the desert. After all, the toucan's beak is primarily used to hut animals instead of eating fruits.
