The Granular Glass Frog that lives in Panama will have to adapt to new environments due to climate change. The rainforest will lose most of its trees and experience a hotter climate. The spots on the frog's back will grow to a bigger size, reflecting more sunlight. Their irises will change colour, appearing to be more silver and grey, keeping the same pattern. The frogs will start to depend more on cutaneous respiration. The mucus layer will thicken, and their skin will become thinner. Using this, they can stay underwater for longer periods of time, hiding from the sun. The frog's leg and arm muscles become stronger, using less wet adhesion. They can get away faster with more muscle, and the wet adhesion isn't on the mucus layer. The lack of trees will force frogs to lay their eggs on wet rocks, keeping their ability to go into the water.
