Orangutans live in the Tropical Rainforest in Southeast Asia. Currently, they survive by resting in nests and trees, using leafy branches to help shelter them from strong weather. They have hands similar to human hands. Their hands help them with swinging from tree to tree. They have a diet that includes a variety of fruits, vegetation, bark, honey, and insects. They’re primarily frugivores, with fruit being 60-90% of their diet.
I believe that in the future orangutans will live in a cave. They need protection because they lost their trees. This will affect them heavily because they’re awkward on ground. Their diet will not have as much fruit, which will result in them becoming smaller and weaker. They’ll have to adapt to moving on the ground, and may possibly become dumber.
