The capybara is a rodent that lives in the tropical rainforests that are dense and have lots of permanent water sources such as lakes, rivers and swamps. Capybaras are also the world's largest rodent reaching 4.6 feet long and 2 feet tall and weighing 146 pounds which is about as large as a big dog. I believe that the Capybara would end up adapting to live in the water due to almost all their predators being land animals over thousands of years they would grow more webbed feet and hands so that they could swim better. They may also lose some of their fur which is because of global warming and heating. The Capybara would probably shift its diet a little and may start eating more fruit and vegetables due to decreasing grasslands and plants.
