Sloth

The sloth is a medium sized brown vertebrate that lives in the Amazon rainforest. It spends most of its time hanging and sleeping in trees. The sloth is mostly a herbivore except for occasionally eating insects or small lizards. It has sharp claws to hang on to trees, and is very slow to prevent detection from predators such as jaguars, eagles, and large snakes. In the future the sloth will have to adapt to new environments because of wildfires and deforestation cutting off habitats and food sources. It now will have to find a new home on the ground. Also will need to change its fur color to a green and yellow to match the color of the grass. They will also need to adapt to more of an omnivore based diet. Next they will need to be faster to run from predators. Lastly they will need improved eyesight.
