My animal is a green crested basilisk. Right now, in the present, a basilisk is 27-30 inches long and 3 feet tall. A basilisk has scales on its body. The scales and its fast running help it run on water! Basilisks live in tropical rainforests in central and south america near calm bodies of water. It eats insects, spiders, smaller lizards, small mammals, crawfish, and snails. Basilisks are prey.
In the future, when temperatures rise, basilisks will be 40-50 inches long and 4 feet tall. Instead of being able to run on water, they can run up to 60 miles per hour! They will also be living in the desert. They will still be prey. They will still eat insects, spiders, smaller lizards, and small animals, but not crawfish or snails. It will be a light brown color. The basilisk will still have scales.
