Ocelots are a medium-sized, spotted type of wild cat. They can be found in the dense vegetation of the Amazon Rainforest and other thick jungles in South and Central America. The ocelot is known for using its beautiful coat to naturally blend into its surroundings, which improves hunting ability. They also have incredible climbing ability, complimented with short powerful legs that help them run up to 30 miles per hour. However, if the ocelot’s natural habitat changed, for example, if the jungles start to turn into savannah deserts with scorching hot temperatures and not much vegetation, they would have to adapt. I imagine over time that ocelots would grow longer legs to run even faster in the open terrain, as well as a lighter coat to blend into the brighter environments. Overall, the ocelot would have to change a lot to adapt to a new environment.
