The leopard currently lives in tropical rainforests where it uses its spotted fur to camouflage in thick trees and shadows. It is a great climber and hunts animals such as monkeys and deer.
However if rainforests become hotter, drier, and more fragmented it would be due to climate change and habitat loss.
So the leopard may need to adapt in the future the rainforest may turn into a savanna with fewer trees.
In that case the leopard may develop lighter and more sandy colored fur to blend in with grasslands.
It's body could become leaner with longer legs for running longer distances instead of climbing. It may also become more active at night to avoid extreme daytime temperatures. If habitats become smaller and more separated, future leopards may be smaller to survive on less food and travel between fragmented areas more easily
