In South America the Jaguar is the king of the Amazon Rainforest. The jaguar is the largest of the cat species and makes your domestic house cat look like a kitten. The spots on the jaguar’s coat are called rosettes. The rosettes help the jaguar camouflage into their environment. Jaguars main prey is fish, capybara, large cattle, sloths, anteaters, monkeys, and deer. Jaguars will devour alligators, and wait for fresh water turtles to come ashore and lay their eggs. I think in 1,000 years the rainforest will be like the ocean and the jaguar will have to live in a cave under water. I also think that it will have a change in its diet and it will start eating fish and clams, but clams are hard to open so it will need sharper claws to open the clam. The jaguar is NOT a marine animal.
