A Black Caiman’s body can grow between 13 and 16 feet long. It normally weighs 770 pounds. Its massive size helps its defense. Its life span is about 80 years in the wild and about 13 years in captivity. Its diet involves piranha, catfish, capybara, deer, boars, dogs, snakes, and livestock. There reproduction mainly involves making a nest for its eggs. The average clutch size is about 39 eggs it’s eggs hatch in 2 to 3 months.
A future Black Caiman will have a grey spots on its back. A much stronger jaw for crushing animal bones for food. Its life span in captivity will be 20 to 25 years and 90 in the wild. It will have less predators than normal. It will grow to be much larger growing to be 20ft long normally and 900 to 1,100 pounds.
