Capybaras

Capybaras are the largest rodent on Earth. They are 2 feet standing and 3.48 to 4.40 feet long! Capybaras frequently jump in water to hide from predators. Capybaras are brown or red in color. They live in plants and grass near water. Capybaras are herbivores and eat grass, aquatic plants, tree bark, and fruit. In the future, the rainforest will be a desert. Capybaras will be the color of sand. They will also become omnivores, eating plants, small insects, sometimes they eat dead animal carcasses, and cactus thorns. Their teeth will also evolve to eating cacti thorns. Their stomachs will adapt to eating carcasses so that they don’t get sick. Capybaras will be smaller to hide in the grass. They live in underground burrows to stay safe and cool. They are nocturnal because it is cooler at night. The capybaras predators will be foxes, wolves, and large birds.
