Right now, capybaras are the largest rodents in the world. They are 20-24 inches when they start withering. The capybara lives in dense rainforests that border water bodies for water. They live on the forest floor for grass. Capybaras eat grasses, sedges, reeds, and water hyacinths. The predators of the capybara are the anaconda, jaguars, and caimans. Capybara's top run speed can get up to 22 miles per hour! They use quick, short, bursts instead of running. In one thousand years the capybara will get a hump and live 20-35 feet above the ground. The rainforest will be turning into a new biome, called the sandy forest. The sandy forest has trees and sand at the bottom. The capybaras will have to adapt. In one thousand years the capybaras will be 40-44 inches when they wither and longer claws for protection from the predators so they can stay alive.
