Right now, sugar gliders live in the canopy layer of rainforests in Australia, New Guinea, and Indonesia. I think sugar gliders' habitats would change due to global warming. They would relocate to nearby mountain ranges because it would be high up so they could still use the same locomotion by gliding and using their tail for steering. I also think that their defensive structures would still be loud noises, sour scents, standing on hind legs, and gliding, but they might glide a bit farther than 50 meters since they would be in mountains. For foraging it might change to sap, gum, nectar, pollen, honeydew, and insects from fruits, veggies, and insects. For camouflage now they are grayish brown which blends in with trees and shadows. Their white belly makes them hard to see from below. In the future they might adapt to the color of the mountains near it.
