The Amazon pink water dolphin primarily lives in several areas of the Amazon river basin. One of the things that the Amazon river dolphin would need to change if they were to be in the Atlantic Ocean would be their kidneys. If they were put into the Atlantic they would get very dehydrated because their kidneys can’t process salt very well because their bodies are built for low salt environments. Eventually their organs would start to fail because of not enough water. And they would need to improve their fins so they are more aerodynamic and less paddle shaped so they could swim faster. Lastly they would need to adapt their sonar for a deep wide ocean and not a shallow river. They need that because they need to hear where their food is. I think in 1000 years they could adapt to the Atlantic Ocean.
