Toucans are a family of birds that have large bills that can be either orange or yellow, along with a variety of other colors that include blues, Blacks and Whites, and come in a variety of sizes. Also are found in tropical areas (near the equator) in Central and South America, with large diversity of them in the Amazon Rainforest. They Live primarily in the Rainforest Canopy, the uppermost layer of the Rainforest, and are found up to 70ft (20m) high. They are insectivores (also called entomophagous) and sustain themselves with a diet that primarily consists of Mammals, as well as Fruits and small birds. The beak is not as heavy as one might think, as they are composed of a substance called keratin. They have some of the most unique and radiant colors that reflect their environment and helps them stay camouflaged from predators and assists in communication.
