The animal I'm writing about is the tapir. It lives in the forest. Environmental shift such as climate changes cause food and droughts. Right now the animal survives by using traits like strong muscular legs, small eyes, and rounded ears. These traits help the animals survive. In the future, the animal may need to develop new survival traits such as going underwater or climb in order to survive in the changing environment. The biological response to this environmental change may include that the front arms need to get stronger, which helps the animal climb. This response increases the animal chance of survival.
