My animal is the Green Iguana AKA the Iguana Iguana. Its current habitat, the tropical rainforest. When it is young it stays low. When it’s old, it stays in the trees and basks in sunlight. Eventually, the rainforest will become a savanna. The Iguana when it’s young will dig burrows and stay. When it grows, it will like to hide in shrubs after climate change. The rainforest will slowly die and become a savanah, which needs less water to grow. The most important adaptations for the future iguanas are:
Storing water in its dewlap through fats, Instead of communicating through head bopping, they will use quick tongue movements in order to stay hidden, I think since the savanna will have less herbs for the iguanas so they will now hunt in the water for fish and such, they will need webbed feat in the back, so they can swim faster.
