The animal I am writing about is the scarlet macaw. It lives in the rainforest environment. Recently there has been an environmental shift such as a hotter climate. Right now this animal survives by using traits like claws, strong beak and colorful body. These traits help the animal survive. In the future the animal may need to develop new survival traits such as rest or find food in order to survive in the changing environment. The biological response to this environmental change may include rest which helps the animal survive. This increases the animal's chance of survival.
