The animal I am writing about is the sun bear. It lives in the forest environment. Recently there has been an environmental shift as deforestation. Right now this animal survives by using traits like long tongues, nails for climbing and short fur. These traits help the animal survive. In the future the animal may need to develop new survival traits such as strong jaws or avoid danger in order to survive in the changing environment. The biological response to this environmental change may include fruit which helps the animal survive. This response increases the animals' chance of survival.
