Currently, the puma regularly lives in environments such as rainforests and mountains with normal climates so it can climb and hunt fairly quickly and efficiently. Fast forward into the future, where we are living through yet another ice age, the puma’s habitat, which was once the jungle covered in greenery, has now dropped 100 degrees with snow reaching 7 feet high. The longer winters, super short springs, and colder climates make it a lot more difficult to survive for the puma population. However, over time, the puma adapts by growing twice its original body size, wider paws so it can walk on the thick snow, more body fat to stay warm, and developing lighter fur, a light grey-white, so it can blend in with its surroundings.
