The hero shrew lives in southwestern Uganda, and northern Rwanda. The things they have there are tropical rainforests, and swamps. Some facts it is known for is one of the strongest back ever for vertebrates and its so strong that if a man steps on it it would be fine. Another one is that the shrew can use its nose for communication. Finally the fact is a hero shrew or any other shrew is not a rodent its a rodentia. The hero shrews are likely to adapt to swampy forested habitats and then they will make their spine better. As habitat conditions change, these mammals are expected to evolve through increased vertebral strength, allowing them to better part palm tree debris to access insects that other animals cannot reach. The hero shrew is looking to go to a more colder biome like America or Canada.
