The Poison Dart Frog has one of its habitats in the Amazon Rainforest, but that might change. The Amazon Rainforest’s temperature might rise and receive less precipitation. This isn’t good news for the Poison Dart Frog, since they can’t survive without moisture, since they supplement oxygen through their moist skin. Their skin might get rougher and their lungs will have to get stronger. Their appearance might change to duller colors to camouflage and/or because they don’t need to warn predators, since their poisonous trait comes from the insects they eat, which might die out, thus removing their poison and forcing them to fight or be more combative or faster. They’ll likely stay in small puddles and be mostly inactive to conserve energy. The frogs could also find new food sources, since their old food source will die.
