The Red-Bellied Piranha is a species of piranha that lives in South America. It has stable populations in lakes and rivers, including in the Amazon. In the future, as droughts persist and the rivers and lakes dry up, the red-bellied piranhas will no longer be able to live there. As a result, it may adapt to having legs in order to survive over millions of years, as well as lungs. It could likely become a new type of species that is amphibious like frogs.
