The animal I am writing about is the capybara. It lives in the wetlands environment. Recently, there has been an environmental shift such as climate change.
Right now, this animal survives by using traits like spending a lot of time in the water to stay cool, being able to hold their breath underwater, and eating grasses and waterplants. These traits help the animal survive.
In the future, the animal may need to develop new survival traits such as becoming stronger suimers.or eating at night when there are less predators. in order to survive in the changing environment.
The biological response to this environmental change may include finding new places with water to live, which helps the animal find more food. This response increases the animal’s chance of survival.
