In 1000 years, the Jaguar will evolve and become smaller, more adapted to dry places, and have a more sandy coat of fur. Because, of the climate change, rain forests would be turned into savannas. The jaguar's traditional camouflage, bright yellow fur with dark rosettes would shift to a sandier, less defined pattern to blend into a more open landscape (or an environment). As forest density decreases, the long tail used for balancing on branches would disappear, and their legs could widen for a harsher, rocky, or dry terrain. Their reliance on stealth and climbing will change, with a greater focus on speed and enhanced senses for prey. Due to reduced food sources, the future jaguar would be smaller to manage heat and conserve energy, perhaps evolving into a changed world. The closest animal that a jaguar would like in 1000 years would be a puma or cougar.
