Future of the Spangled Cotinga

The Spangled Cotinga is a bird found throughout the Amazon basin and parts of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Venezuela, and the Guianas. They eat many different berries to survive. this Cotinga has many distinctive features including a special call for danger, changing tail color when feeling scared, and many more fascinating adaptations. The future of the Spangled Cotinga is called the savanna-sun bird. It has the ability to camouflage, turn green so it processes chlorophyll! (which can only happen if they have been food deprived for three or more days), and many more interesting features. This sun bird eats a variety of fish, a change from the present. The reason they have webbed feet is so that they can go fast when swimming. The habitat of the savanna-sun bird is called a savanna. A savanna is a mix of grass and shrubs with many trees to cover land.
