The animal I am writing about is the tapir. It lives in the rain forest environment. Recently, there has been an environmental shift such as climates change causes floods and droughts. Right now, this animal survives by using traits like,flexible trunks and strong bodies. These traits help the animal survive. In the future, the animal may need to develop new survival traits such as travel father or grow stronger legs in order to survive in the changing environment. The biological response to this environmental change may include traveling farther in the morning which helps the animal. This response increases the animal’s chance of survival.
