Stick Bug

The animal I am writing about is the stick insect. It lives in the rainforest environment. Recently, there has been an environmental shift such as an increase in predators and they are being eaten. Right now, this animal survives by using traits like blending into trees and having bugs to eat. And in the future, the animal may need to develop new survival traits such as hiding in caves or going high up on trees in order to survive in the changing environment. The biological response to this environmental change may include hideouts which help the animal survive; this response increases the animal’s chances of survival.
