The animal I am writing about is the fruit bat. It lives in the rainforest environment. Recently, there has been an environmental shift such as the temprature and the loss of food. Right now, this animal survives by using traits like flying long to find food, great smell and sight, and it has strong wings. These traits help the animal survive. In the future, the animal may need to develop new survival traits such as sleeping in colder places or expanding their diet in order to survive in the changing environment. The biological response to this environmental change may include flying farther for food, which helps the animal adapt to the change. This response increases the animal’s chance of survival.
