Toucan

The animal I am writing about is the toucan. It lives in the rainforest environment. Recently there has been an environmental shift such as an extreme temperature change. Right now the animal survives by using traits like finding shelter in trees and camouflaging with its beautiful colors, eating bugs but it can not fly. These traits help the animal survive well in its environment. In the future they may need to develop new survival traits to adjust to the new environment. It may need to learn to fly and eat grass in order to survive in the changing environment. The biological response to this environmental change may include learning how to fly to help the animals chance of survival.
